Terminology of poker
As with most things in life if you want to feel part of the poker community you need to learn the terms. The original cards flipped onto the table are called the flops with the extra cards which are flipped over called the turn and the river. The two players to the left of the dealer are named small blind and big blind, while the cards which are given to the participating players are known as hole cards. If it is you have the best hand available then you have the nuts, if you are called a fish it equates to your aggressive playing and if you are known as a donkey then the label is given due to you constantly losing bets and making silly calls.
